The text is an adaptation formed from 30 scripture references. The difficulty is also increased bysome clashes of a major and minor seconds.
The occasional divisi in thesopranos also needs to be considered. The tenors arerequired to sing their high G. The sopranos have to contend with a range of middleC up to the high G (an octave and a perfect fifth higher). There is also the oddoff-beat exclamation. The difficultly level has been designated “intermediate” due to the frequentoccurrence of 2/4 measures (which arguably could have been 3/2 bars), butthey are essential to the character of the piece. There is also a separatepiano/keyboard part available (with 2 systems per page) where the choralparts have been cast in closed-formation over a reduced-size grand staff. There are also detailed guitar chords above the piano part(Note: a separate guitar part is available with the chords placed above a vocal(treble) staff, so as to be nearer the words). It has an independent piano/keyboard accompaniment. The piece is scored for SATB (in open format) with occasional divisi in the sopranos. There are 15 pages in the PDF, 13 of which containmusic.
